Offering a lift

The idea behind traveleze was incredibly simple - we wanted a way for people to reduce the cost of their daily commute or one-off journeys by sharing any spare seat space in their car. Fuel prices are constantly going up, parking is expensive and cars require maintenance - it all adds up. Commuting by car can be expensive to both your bank balance and the environment, so why not help save both.

Advertise your lift

If you're making a one-off journey or a regular commute and you've got a spare seat in your car, you can create a listing for free with the details of the lift. People looking for lifts will then be able to search and find the lift you're offering. If they like what they see and it fits with what they're after, they can make you an offer what they're willing to pay for the lift. You then review the offers you're received and accept the one that you're happy with.
If you're advertising a regular commute, there is absolutely no cost to you to use traveleze. If you're advertising a one-off journey, there is a small R10.00 fee to pay.

Remember if you don't accept any offers for your lift or you're advertising a regular commute, there is absolutely nothing to pay.

Once you accept an offer and pay the R10.00 fee if it's a one-off journey, we then release the contact details of the person you're giving the lift to - this will be their email address and cell phone number. You'll then be able to get in touch and arrange how they're going to pay you and sort out the finer details of the lift.

Find people looking for lifts

Before you add your lift, a good place to start is to search for lifts that people want that are similar to the lift you're offering - if someone has made a listing for a lift they want, you can then make them an offer how much you'd give them the lift for. If they accept, you give them the lift and they pay you the amount you agreed.
As before, if you're offering a regular commute, there is absolutely no cost to you to use traveleze. If you're offering a one-off journey, there is a small R10.00 fee to pay us.
So if they accept your offer of a lift, you'll get an email from us informing you - you then login and pay our fee, after which we release their contact details.
If it's a not a one-off journey, we'll release their contacts details to you and yours to them as soon as they accept the offer.
